Dry Ice Semi-Drysuit | ![]() | |||||||||||||
The primary function of any wetsuit or drysuit, is to keep you warm. While there is a lot of hype about all types of science when it comes to wetsuit design, it all about restricting the flow of water into and out of the wetsuit and the thickness and quality of the neoprene. Neptune has a scale of 1 to 10 that defines the thermal protection that all suits offer and our goal was to produce a Level 9 suit, just one step down from a drysuit. The number one area that lets water into a wetsuit is the neck and the fastest place to lose body heat is through the head and the neck area, so in order to maximise warmth the best option is a hood attached suit. Add a back dry zip and a high tech sealing system to keep water out and you have a semidry suit almost as dry as a dry suit. Made from the highest quality 7mm neoprene, Neo Tech Radial Stretch, this suit will keep you warm in almost any waters from Tasmania to Queensland.
