Dunnaley Canal Drift Dive

Experience : Experienced Open Water

A drift dive though the Dennison Canal at Dunalley. This is a restricted navigation channel so aproval form the canal superintendant needs to be given. Best done at slack high water( about 2hrs 15min after Hobart high water) The best section is around the Bridge with lost of soft corals and sponges. Often large schools of fish pass through. Carefull planning is required and a safety boat should be in attendance as the current can exceed 15km/h.
