Island Ocean Charters

Island Ocean Charters have a purpose built 7.5 m Sterncraft designed to carry 8 divers with 2 tanks each. The boat has a large walk through stern with a dive ladder that can be easily climbed with fins on. It also has an undercover dive deck and an enclosed toilet. It is a very comfortable dive boat designed to make diving as easy as possible.

Island Ocean Charters operate from the Orford and offer dive charters to Maria Island, Isle De Phoque and hopefully the Troy D. Maria Island offers some of the best diving in Tasmania with a wide range of dives including deep wall drop-offs, sponge gardens, caves, deep bombies, large crays inside the Marine Reserve and the chance to encounter whales and dolphins. The Isle De Phoque is one of Australia’s most outstanding dives with large caves going right through the island filled with invertebrate life, large schools of fish and is also a large seal colony.

Island Ocean Charters shore facilities include a private jetty, change rooms with showers, car parking, 20 meter heated pool, accommodation, restaurant, tank fills, tennis courts and a wide range of other recreational activities.
